Interactive tools in methodology

From the teacher’s point of view, Genially offers flexibility and creativity. I was able to embed grammar, vocabulary, and reading activities inside a fun space-themed adventure. Instead of completing boring worksheets, students interact with visual and audio elements, drag-and-drop words, and explore to find answers. This types of app gives the option to include immediate feedback, which supports correction and independent learning.

The principal advantage I think is the ability to design lessons that feel like games. This increases motivation, especially for primary learners. When students are excited, they participate more and retain more, although my escape room still needs to be improved.

However, there were some challenges. Learning how to use Genially’s interactive tools took time, especially making sure that links, animations, and logic flows worked smoothly. The children can be designing puzzles, alphabet soup. But after testing and improving the posibilities are enormous.

From the student’s point of view, the escape room offers a fresh learning experience. It promotes teamwork, curiosity, and active participation. Students read and listen because they want to solve the activitie, not just because the teacher says so. I believe that this emotional connection to the activity increases motivation and lowers anxiety, especially when learning a foreign language.

Additionally, tools like Genially allow teachers to reuse and adapt activities for different levels and topics. They can also be used for flipped classrooms or online learning.Ím sure I will use this metodology a lot.

In conclusion, this project showed me how valuable ICT tools are for language education. When used correctly, they can make learning more effective, inclusive, and fun. I plan to continue developing my skills with digital tools and using them in my future EFL classroom.
